Hoping for Rain

Well as you can see we and our plants are hoping for rain. It has been so hot and dry. We do not have consistent water, when we run out we have to get it trucked in my some friends of ours, whom we are so thankful for. Yesterday I saw this in the sky and got excited. Sure enough a little rain did come, the boys got so excited anouncing each drop they felt!!! But just as quickly as it came it left and the sun came out again. But I thought of this verse, Jeremiah 17:7-8 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit." So we keep hoping. Not only for physical rain but also for our spiritual life to be strengthened, that we will not fear when heat comes, or be anxious in the time of drought, or cease from yielding fruit. We need to keep our roots in Jesus, the One who gives us living water.
