The little girls dress up in fancy dresses, like little princesses. The little boys did what boys do very well.....
Making a lot of noise, beating drums and blowing on whistles.
This is one of our neighbor girls, Anita.
The princesses represent each state of Honduras
Their shirts, gloves and socks are so white it is amazing.
Lining up for the march.
Umbrellas
The drummers had practiced for weeks before the parade, we could hear them sometimes from our house. They did such a good job.
We went to one more parade in Coxen Hole. It was on the 15th. It was all of the older kids like high school age. It was a lot of fun. I didn't get any photos on that day. But we enjoyed it so much. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Independence day.
